Can Xanax Cause Tingling In The Head?

Hello, I have been taking Xanax for about 5Mths and started reducing in December, however I have I did a mri for unusual feelings and tingling in my head, it was revealed that there are areas of few Flair and t2 hyperintense white matter foci bilaterally consistent with age appropriate microvascular ischaemic changes.
My questions is do you think the zanax may have aggravate my symptoms severely

xanas can lead to dependence. In ur case, dependence depend upon the dose. If u r taking Xanas at high dose, chances of dependent are more, in that case u can have withdrawal symptoms in form of headache, tingling sensation. theses MRi finding are non specific. Xanas does not cause any brain damage. For tapering down the dose of xanas, u can consult a psychiatrist.
