Can We Get Cold, Cough And Asthma With Immediate Change In Temperature?

I am 62 , male and patient of mild hypertension and allergy (Airborne Contact Dermatitis). Lately (about two years) I get mild asthmatic attack. This is with exposure to cold for as little as 15 to 20 minutes. I live in South Asia relatively dry climate 5 degree C in winter to 45 degree C in summer. This time in mid summer after an hour long walk I got in my car with full blast AC for 15 minutes and fell sick. Is it possible to get cold + cough + sour throat + asthma in such short exposure?

Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

Sir, when you are asthamatic and allergic, then its quiet obvious that whenever you exposed to such allergic stimulant, you get any of the three you have mentioned.i.e, cold, cough and asthma.

You need to avoid exposure to such allergens. Once you get them, you need to take regular medication as a course.

Hope this guides you,
Thank you,
Dr Phanindra Dulipala.
