Can Venlafaxine Be Taken In Morning For Anxiety?

Yes just yesterday I was put on75mg of venlafaxine for my anxiety I have been taking at night. 30mg of mirtazapine for many years I also take 2 1 mg of clonazepan the mirtazapine helps me sleep do you tike it s ok to take the venlafaxine in the morning and the mirtazapine at night.

Detailed answer:If i am your treating doctor,would suggest preferably to take the venlafaxine tablet or capsule,safely either in the morning or afternoon rather combining with mirtazapine at night which may increase the risk of serotonin syndrome(as both are serotonin modulators).However i would advise to discuss this with your treating doctor for considering therapy modification.Hope i have answered your query.If any other questions,happy to answer you.Take care.

Hello thanks for asking

Venlafaxine is a SNRI drug and the drug cause increase in serotonin and nor-epinephrin concentration in brain. Venlafaxine can cause insomnia and a little activation in some individuals. You can take the drug in morning as taking in evening will result in difficulty in sleeping. You can continue to take clonazepam and mirtazapine in night. Consult your psychiatrist for detailed opinion.
