Can Tumor Growth Cause Sharp Pain In Head, Oversleeping And Depression?

I have a tumor the size of a thumb-nail - not cancer- can only cause problems if it grows. Lately, but not often I have sharp pain across the top of my head, but I rarely have headaches unless its related to sinus trouble. However, I have been sleeping a lot lately and been depressed past normal depression. Are these signs of the tumor growing...I don t want unnecessary MRI done, as I think they cause other problems.. Can you help?

Hello,
MRIs are not like CT scans, they do not cause radiation exposure and as far as we know do not have long term risks. If you are having pains in your head then you probably need a repeat MRi. The depression and sleepiness may or may not be related. Talk to your doctor soon
Regards
