Can Thyroid Spread By Oral Kissing Or Sex ?
Two weeks before i had oral kissing with my boy friend, but that point of time i dono, he is having Thyroid problem Is there a chance that i m also get affected by this. if so what are the initial symptoms. now i feel there is some pain in my neck (dono may be its bcoz of my fear) I m dying of the doubt. please clarify me on this as soon as possible. Welcome to HCM.
Thyroid problem cannot spread by kissing. Thyroid is a gland in the neck which is outside the wind pipe and has no direct connection with the mouth. You do not have to be worried. You have not mentioned what exactly is the problem your friend is having. If it is thyroid swelling, then it could be Goiter, caused by iron deficiency and is not infectious. There are other causes of thyroid swelling as well. Ask him to consult an ENT surgeon and get an ultrasound study and blood thyroid function tests done
