Can Taking Multiple Birth Control Pills Post Unprotected Sex Prevent Pregnancy?

Hi, I had sex 12days after my last period, the condom broke, I brought out some semen with a tissue, squated in the bathroom, some came out and still use 2capsules of postinor1 and 2capsules of ampiclox within 30mins that this happened. But out of fear, I still used 1capsule of postinor1 the morning after. It s a day to two weeks since this happened and I m still scared of getting pregnant besides, I think I should have seen my period but I ve not seen it. Is it possible I m pregnant?

Hello, I really appreciate your concern. Postinor 1 tablet should be taken within 72 hours of intercourse. In your case you have taken it within 30 minutes, so it is more likely that the tablet would have worked for you. Normally postinor 1 prevents 85% pregnancy. So there is always some chances of pregnancy after postinor 1. Furthermore, postinor 1 itself and fear of pregnancy is also a reason for delayed periods. I advise you to rule out pregnancy by pregnancy test using urinary pregnancy testing (UPT) kit available at pharmacy. After negative test try ti avoid stress and be relaxed. You can try some relaxation exercise like yoga and meditation.
