I am 8 months pregnant. Age 40yrs. First pregnancy. Having detected hypothyroidism recently, Doctor prescribed me Thyrox 50. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for asking a question at HCM

I will try my best to help you with the answer

Yes, this can be a side effect.

Hi, What is your TSH level. Yes, this can be a side effcet of Thyroxine. I guess you need to reduce the dose Thyroxine.

Consult your doc, and try taking it at 25mcg +12.5 mcg [which is the next lowest dose] instead of 50.

You should be alright by this.

Hope this helps!

Best Regards
Dr Chaithanya
