Can Taking Ova Mit Be Safe Along With Folic Acid And Metformic For Conception?
Hi Doc,I am planning to have a baby since my fiancee will go back here om November,my OB ask me to take metformin,i am taking that for 3mos.And this for this October she gave a different medicine called Ova-mit together with folic acid.My question is would i still continue taking metformin together with the Ova-mit and folic? Is that ok? HOPe you can answer me because i forgot to ask my OB about that and maybe she forgot to tell about that.Thanks.
I have gone through your query, i will try to give you suggestion which will be helpful to you. You have been prescribed metformin as you might be having pcos.pcos patients are more prone to glucose intolerance, so metformin is prescribed for the above. Tablet ova mit contains clomphiene citrate which is given to induce ovulation. Folic acid supplement are given to prevent neural tube defects in babies. So you can take all the drugs together which are prescribed by your doctor, there is no problem. I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you. I will be glad to help you in case if you have any further queries. Take care.
