Hi,

Noted your history of tongue laceration during seizure in December, it is still swollen and have trouble with speech particularly for pronouncing the letters S and R, wants to know whether there are exercises for tongue.
Swollen tongue after laceration which was not stitched indicates one of the following reasons:
Development of a nodule or fibrosis lump like hypertrophied scar or so.
Post infection granuloma
I would advise you the following:
Consult an Oral or ENT Surgeon for an actual examination of the tongue to have clinical diagnosis.
MRI of tongue to know possible internal problem.
Relevant tests of blood.
Review about your Epilepsy problem and continuation of treatment.
Trial with an anti-inflammatory medicine with steroids may help reduce or resolve the problems.
May need surgery.
There are no known tongue exercises that I know of.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
