Can Regestrone Tablets Cause Lower Limbs Pain During Periods?
I am 35 years old. Two months before i had taken Regestrone tablets for about 10 days( 1 per day) for postponing my periods and the next day i stopped taking it i got my periods. but last month and this month, before i got my normal periods i had severe pain in my lower limbs. I have never had such pain before. is it due to the side effects of this tablet. i have not had such pain before.

Regestrone contains norethisterone which is used to treat various menstrual problems including painful, heavy or irregular periods, premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and a condition called endometriosis. This medicine is a lab made version of the natural female sex hormone, progesterone. Regestrone can cause pain in the lower limbs, muscle pain, join pain, swelling of lower limbs and makes heavier as well as painful as its side effects.
Its other side effects are nausea, vomiting, headache, abdominal pain, GIT upset, indigestion, fatigue, changes in body weight, tiredness, mood swings, depression, weakness, changes in sleep pattern, vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding, breast tenderness and enlargement, irregular uterine cycles, spotting between periods, facial hair growth, delayed wound healing, easily bruising or bleeding, changes in sexual drive, allergic reactions etc. If any of these side effects persists for long or bother you, then you should consult your doctor promptly for medical attention.
