Can Rashes On The Head, Ear And Buttocks Be An After-effect Of Shingles?
I had a mild outbreak of shingles on the back of my head behind my right ear in early December. It remained under my hairline. I took 2 courses of treatment prescribed by my physician. The treatment seemed to work, however I have what i believe a residual rash which has spread to the left side of my head and behind my left ear. The same rash has broken out on my buttocks. It is very itchy and i cant seem to control it with any kind of anti-itch cream. Is it possible this is an after affect of shingles?

Your symptoms seem to be related to shingles.
I suggest you to use antiviral cream for local application.
I also recommend to use antiviral medication such as Acyclovir tablets for systemic effect.
