TAKEN MOST TEST WORKING WITH HEART, KIDNEY, UROLOGY DOCTORS AND MY REGULAR DOC. STILL HAVE FLUID. ALSO TAKE FLUID PILL DAILY(furosemide 40MG). HEART DOC. & UROLOGY CANNOT DO ANYMORE. KIDNEY DOC THINKING OF A BIOPSY. REG DOC DOES NOT KNOW CAUSE(BEING MONITORED). TEN MONTHS AGO LOTS OF PROTEIN IN URINE(3300+). HOWEVER LAST MONTHS SAME TEST(24HR) SHOWED 400+. I AM 77 YRS. OLD IN VERY GOOD HEALTH. EXERCISE 5 TO 6 TIMES A WEEK(TOTAL GYM) AND I AM VERY ACTIVE. I AM 5 9 TALL AND WEIGH 170-172 LBS AND MALE. ANY INFOMATION WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS AUBREY. YYYY@YYYY
Hello Thank you for asking the question. Your urine report shows presence of protein in urine. Most common cause of presence of protein in urine is damage to glomerular membrane of kidney. Main protein excreted in urine is albumin which maintains colloid osmotic pressure. If albumin lost in urine leads to decrease in osmotic pressure leafs accumulation of fluid in tissue leads to edema. Drug furosemide is used to increase urine output to decrease edema. Consult a doctor to find cause of edema. Hope this will helpful to you.
