Can Overuse Of Charcoal Lighter Fluid Cause Emphysema?

My neighbor uses an excessive amount of charchol lighter fluid. I live in an apt. And the smell is over whelming. I can barely breath and my eyes are blurry. Can this charchol lighter fluid once burned cause empysemia? I m only 47 and recently diagnosed with empysemia and I never smoked.

Hi,

Yes, products of smoke can produce in long term [months to year] can produce COPD, you take medicines as prescribed [pulmonologist is good option]. Take healthy diet of fruits, vegetables, salads. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, pollution area or wear mask. Drink more water. Do sukshm yoga [join art of living sahaj meditation course]. These things add in recovery and will heal faster. Take multi-vitamins few days a month. Antioxidants like amla, aloe vera, basil, lemon, orange are good and have no side effects as sometime with drugs.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
