Can One See The Fetus While Eight Weeks Pregnant On An Ultrasound?
I am pregnant I'm not sure how far along I am my blood test results said I was 7to8 weeks pregnant I went for a ultrasound and they could only see the sac and a yolk sac but know fetel pole. My ovulation was only 4 weeks ago and I did a clear blue test and it said I was only 2 to 3 weeks pregnant. Do you think I lost it or I'm way to early
Hello, Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. I have gone through the query and would like to offer my opinion. With a trans-vaginal sonogram, it is possible to identify a gestation sac as early as the 4th week, around the missed period. The fetal pole appears around the 6th week of pregnancy and fetal cardiac activity can be identified even before a clear fetal mass is visualized. To correlate clinically, you can get serial serum beta-hCG titres. Doubling of tires every 2-3 days is indicative of good progress. Hope this helps.
