Can Missing Septum Piercing Balls Move To The Sinus Cavity?

Hi,

I have a septum piercing and this morning I woke up with one of the balls missing. Long story short, after lots of searching I can’t find the missing ball, and am concerned it went up my nose. I did some quick internet research on this, and people say if it went up into your sinus cavity you would definitely know it – is that true? Would it cause a lot of sneezing and stuff? I’m not so concerned with if I swallowed it – but the potential that it could be stuck in my sinus cavity worries me. Can you let me know what you think on this? Thanks.
