Can Late Periods Cause Pregnancy?

I am 18 have been dealing with minimal stress i am 135 and 5'4 and have been using birth control as a contraceptive an i had stopped takin it for a week becuase i wanted to start a new packet because i had lost some pills and i on the week i was sopose to have my period i was spotting and its been over a week and it hasnt stopped. Could it be pregnancy or?

it would have been more enriching to answer you had you
given information if you had unprotected intercourse or not.
Pregnancy can only occur if you have unprotected intercourse
when you are unsafe.

If you were taking it regularly and only stop the week you were
suppose to see your menses, its less likely you could be pregnant.

I think the bleeding is due to hormonal imbalance as you stopped
the pills. However, you need to do the pregnancy test. If its negative
you will have to be put on the hormonal contraceptives again to stop and
control the spotting.

You should consider taking iron to prevent you from loosing much iron that would lead to anemia.
