Can Irregular Contraction Be Symptom Of Labour?

hi im 20 & 39 weeks pregnant tomorrow with my second child & ive been having regular but mild contractions that went away after about 5 hrs this was a few days ago since then i have had lots of irregular contractions is this it or is it just bh or false labour i really dont fancy a sweep if i end up going over

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion irregular contractions at this gestational age is not good.Its better to rule out the causes for contractions like urine infection,dehydration etc which are most common causes .Have adequate fluids upto 3 litres.Consult a gynaecologist to rule out preterm labor by examination and necessary investigations.Dont worry treating the cause will cure the condition.
