Can Intake Of Reduced Dosage Of Bystolic Cause Any Side Effects?

Been taking bystolic for high bp and high h r. I monitor my bp several times a day I was prescribed 10 mg bystolic a day i only take 5 mg. sometimes my bp is fine for a couple of days and I do not take the bystolic. Am I doing anything to harm myself. I am afraid if I take the bystolic and my bp is already like 110/75 the bystolic will lower bp even more. what should I do

Hi.Thanks for writing o HCM.
Blood pressure medication has to be taken regularly(daily) even when the blood pressures are normal.I suggest you to take Bystolic 10mg as advised by your doctor and do the blood pressure check in his clinic since I am not sure of the device that you have been using at home is calibrated.Further if the device is perfect you might take discuss with your doctor and take 5mg regularly under supervision.Antihypertensive medications should not be used on and off.Hope this helps.
