Can Intake Of Percocet 10 Mg Develops An Unusual Body Scent?

My husband has been on Percocet 10 mg for several months due to severe back pain. My question is...Is it possible that an unusual body scent can develop from taking this drug? He never had this scent before and I m just wandering what could be causing it and if there is anything that he can do to eliminate it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Based on evidence studies, Percocet can cause an unpleasant body odor or taste. I suggest to drink liquids and stay hydrated. This symptom will probably go away gradually as your body get used to the medication.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
