Can Inhaling Smoke Lead To Carbon Monoxide Poisoning?
Hi! Earlier today I lit a fireplace without opening the flue. I started to notice the house gettin smokey so I opened the door until it cleared. I then realized what had happened and opened the flue and let it continue to burn until it died out. It was lit for around 30 minutes. My house smells a lot like smoke now and I am really worried about carbon monoxide poisoning. I feel that I am over-reacting, but I do have a headache now. Possibly due to stressing over it. But I need to know if it is possible that I should be worried. Please let me know as soon as possible please.
Hey you do not have to worry about it if you would have suffered to carbon monoxide poisonoing you could not have posted this messege. So need not to worry about it. The carbon monoxide poisoning causes breathlessness & may lead to death as it irreversibly bionds the haemoglobin & reduces the oxygen carrying capacity of blood.
The symptoms of the CO poisoning may include headache , diziness etc
But considering the incidence & the symptoms narreted by you if at all you might have experienced the carbon monoxide it is minimal & really not to worry about it.
