Dear Sir, My blood pressure was 230/110, went to urgency care and they admitted me to emergency yesterday. Ran tests EKG and Chest Xray. Shows small amount of damage possibly due to blood pressure although not considered high risk. Long story short, never been on blood pressure medicine, possible genetic. Went to urgent care last week and yesterday raised Lisinipril to 20 mg (after they got my blood pressure down safely to be released). Have follow up on Wednesday. However, my blood pressure spiked this morning to 174/88. My question is, took my new medicine this morning 20mg. What is the time frame that this medicine should begin working or should I just go directly to urgent care/hospital again. Trying to avoid going to hospital and just try and make it to my follow up visit on Wednesday. I am feeling ok. (I am 54 years old, 5 5 , 124 lbs.) Your thoughts please.

I have high blood pressure and hypetropic cardiomyopathy. I just got out of hospital 2 days due to medication issues which raised my bp. The doctors prescribed me Amlodipine, Candesartan, Doxazosin, Bisoprolol, Ebrantil. I seemed to be ok in hospital, but now that I am home (took medication for 2 days) now I have pain in left chest, arm, jaw and back. I want to believe that it is getting adjusted to new medication, but I am scared that the amlodipine is dangerous to me even though the doctor does not think so.
Very concerned about a friend. He had a positive ANA test - 2 positive tests, actually. He has been experiencing headaches , shortness of breath, fatigue , balance issues, motor control issues and tested positive for a high concentration of carbon monoxide in his blood. Initially suspected it could be MS. Doctors are now sending him to see a rheumatiod specialist. Any suggestions on what he should be asking about or requesting testing for?
My 2 small children 4 and 3 and I 29 losing hair also receding. The children are lethargic and tell me they are sick we all feel hot. They have to touch everything almost as if they are drugged... I have been sick for over 3 years after I moved into a new apartment. I have seen numerous doctors and have had numerous blood tests done. The only test that shows abnormality is a positive ANA 1:1280, which has been consistently at that level. My symptoms are light headache, light dizziness, flu-like symptoms, general feeling off being ill, light nausea, extreme fatigue, depression, inflammation in my hands and face, itchy eyes, frequency in urination, severe cramps in my feet. These symptoms come and go and are I haven't been able to figure out any correlation with food, sleep patterns, stress levels etc....I have been tested for lupus, RA, Epstein Barr, Lyme disease, HIV, heavy metals, bladder cancer, adrenal fatigue, thyroid and just about every test my doctors could think of. - I recently got a room mate and after about a month she started getting head aches. She suspected carbon monoxide poisoning and I had the gas cut off about a week ago.She hasn't gotten headaches since and my symptoms seem to have subsided. Do you know if there is any correlation with an extremely high ANA and carbon monoxide poisoning?
