Can Inhaling Chemical Stench On Clothes Cause Sore Throat And Breathing Problems?

My husband works in the oil industries. Since he has.. He comes home smelling of chemicals. When I wash his things and dry his boots out.. I have found that I get a sore throat and now it hurts to breath. I have no fever or feel sick. I don't have a slight case of asthma. And never really can I even remember even having to use an inhaler. Could this be from his chemicals he comes home in?

Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

Mam, first let me appreciate your approach regarding assessing the condition.
From the clear clinical details you have given, the most probable cause is because of you are allergic to those particular chemicals. The allergy is causing you sore throat. You need to wear a mask with out inhaling the chemical residue.
Need to wash your hands after touching them.

Hope this guides you. For any other queries you can write to me. I will be happy to help you. Thank you.
