Hi, i am a 65 year old active woman that was diagnosed with chronic bilateral subdural hematoma a month ago. After 3 Ct's doc put me on Decran shots and told me to wait a month. since i do not have severe headaches anymore, i would like to color my hair. Is it safe to do that? Appreciate any feedback. thanks, fedra
Hello! Subdural hematoma is the collection of blood under the dura. Dura is the outer layer of brain meninges. The other two are arachnoidea and pia. This layers are in a very close realtion with the brain and serve to protect it. In the mean time, the brain is inside the skull, and over the bone lays the skin. There is no way of direct communication between the skin and the dura. So if you feel like doing it, it is safe to dye your hair. I hope i have been of help.
