Can Getting Punched In Stomach Cause Blood In Urine?

I have thin-walled anedhoic cysts in the upper pole of my right kidney measuring 1.6 x 1.2 cm and 2.4 x 1.7 respectively with parenchymal echogenecity within mormal limits. I sometimes have bloody urine. These occured only after I received a punch to my right side during a scuffle. Could there be a relationship between the blood in the urine and the trauma I received?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* It is the impact of trauma which gives the results in the form of symptoms to various parts of the body system.
* There is all possibility of rupture of renal cyst via trauma giving blood in urine.
* An immediate consultation at ER is warranted to get treated earliest and avoid any further complications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
