Can Frequent Headache Be A Symptom Of Brain Tumour When MRI Shows Stone Type Formation In Brain?

My cousin brother has frequent headaches, today he got a MRI scan, it disclosed some 1 inch stone type formation in the brain, I don t exactly know what it is, he called up on phone and told me. I just wanted to know is it a brain cancer or a brain tumor? How can it be treated? The doctors suggested to undergo a operation where he did a MRI scan. How much would a operation cost? Can it be treated witout a operation? please advice..

Hi,

I have gone through your query.
Stone type formation may be a calcified cyst, it usually happens in neurocysticerosis due to parasite infection. Due to its size it is causing headache and should be removed surgically. Otherwise it may cause seizures later on.
As it is calcified medicines will not help in reducing it and surgery is necessary.
Cost of surgery varies according to cities and countries.
