Can Extra Dosage Of Betnesol From Recommended Level Cause Any Side Effects In Infants?

hi im anita, my son is 81/2 months old, 3 days back i took him to a doctor for severe cold and cough. doctor prescribed betnesol 0.5mg drops to give 0.5 ml 3 times a day. but by mistake i was giving him 1 ml thrice. i hav given him for 2 days. can u please tell me will this impose a serious problem for my son?

I really appreciate your concern, most of the time such symptoms of cold and cough in age 8 years are self limiting because this could be due to allergic constitution, just care need to be taken for right hydration, and fever, else no need to treat this with any specific medicines unless it is bacterial infection and it was proved clinically hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
