Can Excessive Progesterone Level During Pregnancy Harm The Foetus?

i was prescribed lupigest 200 mg capsules for one month during my 5h week with out any test,but just after my one week i started gtting heart burn, dizziness,shortness of beath. now im in my 8th week now my dotr has stopped it. can excessive progerterone level harm the foetus

No. Natural progesterone does not harm the foetus. 200 mg is not a large dose and many of the symptoms you were experiencing could be attributed to pregnancy itself. I rarely use PG in pregnancy since there is lack of evidence that its use improves pregnancy outcomes in normal natural pregnancies. in any case if you do not need it you are better off without it
