Can Drinking Cranberry Juice Cause Labor Pain During Pregnancy?

I am 35 weeks pregnant. I have been smoking Marijuana to help with nausea and so I ll have enough of an appetite to eat (I ve lost wright through most of the pregnancy). Now I am trying to make sure neither myself or the baby test positive for thc when I have a c section 1 month from now. Last night i tried cranberry juice and started having the first intense contracations Ive had this entire pregnancy. Can drinking cranberry juice cause me to go into labor sooner? If not will I be able to flush myself and the baby in a month if I drink cranberry and lots of water? Thank you for your time

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Cranberry juice is not known to cause fast labor or preterm labor. Smoking Marijuana is not advisable. Probably you are at risk of preterm birth and you should visit a doctor soon.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.
