Can Diltiazem And Lisinopril Induce Sleep?

My husband is taking 180 mg of Diltiazem and 40 mg of Lisinopril. He seems to be very sleepy most of the day, falling asleep in the am as he reads the newspaper and whenever he's reading or watching TV. Could the dosage or time of day he takes these 2 drugs be causing this??

Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

Diltiazem is used to treat high blood pressure and to control angina (chest pain). Diltiazem is in a class of medications called calcium-channel blockers.
Lisinopril is in a group of drugs called ACE inhibitors. ACE stands for angiotensin converting enzyme.
Lisinopril is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), congestive heart failure, and to improve survival after a heart attack.

Diltiazem and lisinopril both cause dizziness or lightheadedness, tired feeling and drowsiness. So they must be the most probable cause for sleepiness.
Hope this guides you. Thank you.
