Hi, I am 28y and have had a cold and cough for the past week. Last night I woke up with an upset stomach. At first my stool was hard and dark in color, but after having to get up several times throughout the night it became soft and red in color. It didnt appear to be bright red blood but more of maroon, and Im not entirely convinced that it's not from all of the cough syrup and cough drops I've been taking. It is still going on but now I feel somewhat constipated. When I go now, only a little comes out (still redish brown in color) and as soon as I lay back down I feel like I have to go again. I tried to drink water when it first happened and vomited immediately. This hasnt happened before and I other than asthma I dont have any medical problems I am aware of. We had pizza delivered last night, but no one else go sick. How long should I wait it out before going in to the dr?
