Hello,

Asthma is a chronic condition in which the airways narrows and swell. The airways can close up more while having a cold due to the production of mucus. I suggest to use a mucolytic such as Mucinex. I also suggest to use steroids to lower the inflammation in the airways. If the symptoms continue,I recommend to see a pneumologist for further evaluation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
