Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 52 year old healthy female that has had a double hip replacement in the past year ( I was told I have hip dysplasia). I was feeling great with no pain until recently. It has been very cold and damp, could this have an effect on my hips? I am active and walk daily and swim several times a week. I am very sore and my whole pelvic area aches.
hello. If you had hip replacement surgery, as like all surgeries, scar tissue can develop around the operative area. During cold weather this would cause pain/soreness. I would suggest analgesic and warm compresses/baths can decrease/alleviate your symptoms.
