Can Blood Thinners Cause Swelling And Burning In Legs, Knees And Hip ?
My husband had a knee replacement 3 months ago. Did well. Two weeks ago his leg and knee started hurting and swelling. Today his calf and hip on that same leg started hurting. he is on a blood thinner since he was diagnosed with AFib 2 months ago. Could his problem be caused by the blood thinner? His orthropedic doctor is puzzled. He ordered an ultra sound and blood work- which were all negative. My husband is scheduled to have a MRI in the next few days.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern for your husband you have mentioned your doubt here for blood thinner but the cause of your husband's pain may be any thing else and not the blood thinner drug, such pains are mostly have nonspecific reason and this subsides with NSAID drugs only, you can try this, and nothing to worry about this, have nice day.
