So I have this thing on my lip; it's under the skin and looks kind of like a blister; but I know what a cold sore looks like and this isn't acting or looking like one; it's been there 3 days or so and finally what looks like a little white head has formed where the blister or whatever this thing is; I'm actually really worried about this I have no clue what it is or how to even begin to take care of it; been using chapstick and acne cream around it not on it; could it be an STD ? I was with A woman for 2 years and didn't have this problem and now I've been with this other woman for 2 months and now this shows up; help me please and thanks for your time!
Hi.The cold sore is never elevated. From the history you have provided this looks to be a pimple or boil - a sort of acne only. It is there for 3 days and now has a white head. So nothing much to worry about. Wait and watch, as it may just extrude out as this has formed a white head. Use antibiotic only if there is edema, swelling out of proportion or too much of pain.
