Can an x ray of the heart show a doctor any signs of alchol abuse? My doctor is giving me some type of x ray for my heart... at my appointment i will be 2 weeks sober is their anyway he could tell i drink from an x ray still? i ve been drinking about 8 months about once a week.

I don't think that 8 months once a week of drinking would cause heart problems. However, alcohol abuse can cause heart problems such as alcoholic cardomyopathy which can be detected by x-ray. The signs would be enlargement of the heart, fluid in the lungs etc. See link.
Two weeks without drinking would not correct those problems if you had them. It's a one way trip down hill.
