Can A Hit On The Head Hurt My One Month Old?
I was trying to put my baby in his baby carrier (the type I wear so I can carry him around me) and while lifting him up to get him in it, I accidently hit his head on the ceiling. He is one month old. And although he didn t cry and seems to be acting normal, could I have caused him any damage?

I am sorry to hear about what happened. You need to get him checked by a doctor so that internal injuries can be ruled out. Do not try to seek an answer on the net, as medicine is not an exact science, and nothing can replace proper evaluation by a doctor in person. I am recommending this as the baby is just a month old. Also, please do not use a carrier for such a small baby. It is better to take her on your arm.

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. I understand your concern. If the kid is his usual self an dnormally accepting feed without vomiting, you need not worry. I will suggest you danger signs of head injury -
1. Vomiting continuously
2. Seizures
3. Watery of bloody discharge from ears and nose
4. Unconsciousness
5. Altered sensorium or behaviour.
If none of them are present, I don't think you should worry about his trivial head injury. For pain you can give oral Paracetamol in the dose of 15mg/kg/dose every 4-6th hourly.
