Can A Bruise Be Caused By An Ant Bite?

Hi, my husband got bitten by what we are presuming was an ant about an 2hrs ago. He was in alot of pain which has just started to subside. We put ice and bite cream on it. The bite was on his foot. In the last hour we have just noticed what's looks like a bruise on the inside of his form arm. Can the two be related and should we be concerned as he never bruises and it seems to have just appeared?

Hi,

It can be correlated or can be a conincidence. It is important that you give him antihistamines like benadryl. If the swelling in foot does not decrease after taking the medication and the pain further increases with breathing difficulty then he should go to the ER and take emergency anti allergy medications.
