Can A Borderline Diabetes Patient Go For Gastric Bypass Surgery To Lose Weight?

No matter what I do I cannot lose weight. I am borderline diabetic, 50 years old female, caucasian. I have been gluten free for 6 months, and for the past 3 months have been working out at a gym 3 times a week, 30 min. cardio, 30-40 min. weight resistant training. I drink lots of water ( sometinmes with cinnamon sticks and sliced apples in it, I read that was good to do) I don't have a sweet tooth and stay away from sugar and junk food. My friends are doing the same as me and losing lots of weight. I am so discouraged. What can I do? Should I consider Gastric bypass surgery?

Hello,
If you are highly obese and not able to control or reduce your weight by diet and exercises, then BARIATRIC surgery can be a nice option. In fact once you are able to loose your weight by BARIATRIC surgery, your diabetes would also become all right.Consult a BARIATRIC surgeon and take his opinion and get yourself evaluated.
Thanks
