Can Vagifem Be Used During Early Menopause?

Hi Dr I am 3 weeks post hysterectomy and I have been inserting vagifem to help with my hot flushes. I still have my overies but have been going through menapause for about 5 years. I had a bad day yesterday with feeling weak and clammy . I have probably been pushing it a bit so spent m,ost of the day in bed. I have started bleeding slightly again and my tummy is still tender. Should I be inserting this stuff at this early stage.

Vagifem contains estradiol, a local vaginal estrogen therapy which is used in the treatment of vaginal menopause symptoms like dryness, burning and irritation in and around the vaginal area as well as symptoms which affect other parts of the body like hot flashes. It belongs to the group of medications known as vaginal Hormone Replacement Therapy or HRT. But before using this medication, you should consult your doctor first for assessing you physically to find out the underlying causes for your sufferings and then treat them accordingly.
