Can Synthroid Be Taken Along With Birth Control Pills?

I am on synthroid for hypothyroidism. I am also beginning my first round of In-vitro fertilization. My doctor just prescribed birth control pills to regulate my cycle. Is it ok to take the synthroid and birth control at the same time of day? Or should I do one in the morning, one at night?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can take Synthroid along with your birth control pills, it won’t interact with each other or affect its efficacy. No dose adjustments also required.

Wishing all the best.
