Can Primolut N Be Taken To Induce Periods?
Hi Doctor..Can i take primalut n for 5 days to get my periods for some personal reason. Iam 35 year old. 5.2 inch tall. 66 kg weight. Iam breast feeding. My daughter is 2 years old. Please give me dosage and how many days i will have to wait to get periods.

Yes, Primolut N can be taken for inducing a period. Only in the non-pregnant state. In case of pregnancy.
The bleeding won't be induced &the drug may cause abnormality in the fetus. So in such case termination of pregnancy is a must.
Similarly, the drug is excreted through breast milk. It may affect the development of the baby.
It is advisable to stop feeding baby while you are taking the pills.
*The dosage & duration of the course would depend on the phase of menstrual cycle & normal menstruation habit.
For example- You can take PrimolutN pill one pill twice a day for 3 to 5 days & in that case, you would get periods within 8 days of stopping the pills. The dose should be confirmed by your treating gynaecologist.
