Can Prednisone And Metaxalone Be Taken Together?

Hi. I am on the fourth day (three pills today) of a six day Prednisone taper (10 mg tablets). I have also been given a prescription for Metaxalone, 800mg tablet to be taken at bedtime for back pain. Are there any negative interactions between these two medications?

Hello!

It is wise to know which are the drugs you are taking and if that may react inside the body causing you more harm than good.

But worry not, Prednisolone and metaxalone have known not to interact with each other. They can be safely taken together and they will be effective in their actions. Your back pain should come down with metaxalone in a few days. Hope you recover soon.
