Can Pituitary Adenoma Or Hormone Replacement Therapy Cause Forelimbs Scarring And Swelling?

This morning I noticed I had an indentation running from the center of my wrist down the back of my forearm around the back of my elbow. Was red and looked like how a surgical scar would look. Was a little tender to the touch. Slight swelling at the elbow. Faded in about three hours. What could be the cause? I have had a pituitary adenoma for over a year and am on hormone replacement therapy. Any chance it can be related?

Hello,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I have read your question fully and understand your concerns.

I do not think that the rash you had on your arm and your pituitary adenoma are related. The rash was transient; it faded within a few hours. The rash is likely to be an allergic rash, may be your arm came in contact with some sort of chemical/allergen/or could be an insect crawled over your arm and left its body fluids – some external allergen caused a temporary reaction on your skin and your body was able to overcome it on its own.

If this recurs again, then I would advise you to see a doctor to find the cause.

I hope this answer has helped you.

Thank you
