Can Permethrim 5% Cause Bump On Penis Shaft?

28 year old male with medium sized long bump on top right penis’ shaft. No symptoms. First inflamed/swollen 5 days ago. Took Benadryl for 2 days. Inflammation went down only to find a long mass, size of half an index finger, in the same area between the foreskin and the penis and below the head of the penis. Friend said it could be an allergic reaction to Permethrim 5% which I used last week or a blood clot. What could it be?

Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern.

An allergic reaction to permethrin a week later is unlikely and so is a blood clot equally unlikely. please send a good quality picture of the lesion to better guide you in the management or please consult your doctor in case symptoms worsen. you may use benedryl in the mean while for any allergic symptoms.

wishing you best of health

Thanks
