Can Mucolite And Allegra Be Taken Together?

I am having azee 250 twice a day for last 4days. Today 5days course will end. As was suffering from sour throat. Along with had mild fever n cold too. For which I took Crocin and ALEGRA-m. Still little heaviness in head and nasel congestion. Can I take mucolite now with ALEGRA - m? If yes what should be the dose? My age is 46

Hello,

I can understand your concern. Allegra controls the sneezing and allergy like symptoms of the common cold and congestion while Mucolite makes the viscous mucous thinner so that its removal in cough is easy.

As both medicines belong to different class of drugs and do not interact with each other, they can be taken together without any fear of side effects.

Daily dose of Mucolite is 30 mg (1 tablet of Ambroxol) to 120 mg (4 tablets of Ambroxol) in a day in divided doses.
