Can I Use Crushed Aspirin With Water As An Acne Facial Mask?

I have extremely red skin even when my skin is not dry. It's constantly dull looking and even the smallest acne is extremely noticeable. I have googled some things that can help with this and one of the things that showed up was an acne facial mask made up of crushed aspirins and water. I have heard good things about it but also heard that aspirin is a blood thinner. Is this safe to do or will it cause more harm then good?

Hello and welcome to HCM,

While aspirin is a common household method used for acne, its utility is unproven and it can be further irritating in some cases.

On your acne you should use proven anti acne measures like clindamycin or benzoyl peroxide on your acne during night time. Wash your face with salicylic acid based facewashes. Stay away from comedogenic makeup and skincare products.

Hope I helped
