Can I Take Digeplex For Indigestion Caused By Cough Medication?

Dear Doctor,
I had cough. Doctor prescribed , Montair LC AND Arithron 500, After taking medicine I am suffering from indigestion , frequent motion. I want to take Digeplex t , Pl advice.

Hi,

You can take Digeplex which helps in digestion. In addition to Digeplex, I would advise you to take antiacidity medicine like pantoprazole or ranitidine group of drugs with antacids. Indigestion might be related to hyperacidity caused by azithromycin.

I would advise you to take medicine after the meat and you should avoid fatty fried spicy and and junk food and carbonated beverages while taking this treatment. Apart from this you should do warm saline gargling and steam inhalation which will help in reliving cough.
