not sure what to do i have been suffering from depression for few years. i have gotten help and my doctor has changed my dose to 40 mg of fluoexetine . i haved missed a week or so worth of my medication. is there a safe way i can start taking the again? how long will the side effects from missing my dose last once i start taking it again?
Elimination half life of fluoxetine is 36 to 72 hours. A drug needs five elimination half life to come out of body completely. In that case, it would take minimum two weeks. You have missed drug for one week, you can still take it at same dose. You would not get any side effects.
Thanks
