Can I Apply Bacitracin Ointment Around The Anal Region For Burning Sensation Due To Fequent Defecation?
I m having very mucous abundant stools for the last 2 days, today it is very very painful, I believe from frequency of the acidic, mucous stool. Its come to the point that I m in a lot of BURNING pain when trying to pass and its about 15 minutes of pain that is VERY VERY painful. I want to know if its Okay to put a little bacitracin ointment on the skin of my anus to heal it a little.
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The symptoms seem to be related to irritation of the anal area due to the mucous stools.
I suggest using Calamine lotion for local application.
Bacitracin is an antibiotic cream and it I used only in case of a bacterial infection.
I also suggest using daily probiotics.
I recommend to drink liquids and eat a fiber rich diet.
