Can Glycomet And Loprin Be Discontinued If Sugar Levels Are Normal?

Hello Doctor, I am 64 year old male. 7 year back Sugar was found in my blood after that have taken glycomate 500mg & loprin 75 mg.Within 6 months it was within control limit & after every 6 months I monitored it & it s is within range. I also do yearly health check up & no health issues found in it.Cholesterol level is also within limit. Please suggest me should I continue those tablests Glycomate 500mg & loprin 75 mg.

Hi,

Understand that you are maintaining normal sugar levels because you are continuing with Glycomet which is a blood sugar lowering agent. As you are 64, you should also continue with Aspirin. In my opinion, you should continue both the drugs. You can also get your HbA1C checked and you can then get back to us.
